OCA San Mateo is a chapter of the National OCA (Organization of Chinese Americans-APA Advocates). Founded in 1973, OCA is a national organization dedicated to advancing the social, political, and economic well-being of Asian Pacific Americans. The OCA San Mateo Chapter was founded in 1987 and is one of 4 chapters in the San Francisco Bay Area. OCA’s objectives are to advocate for social justice, equal opportunity and fair treatment; promote civic participation, education, and leadership; advance coalitions and community building; and foster cultural heritage.
